About Edward Brence


Edward Brence is a New York-based actor originally from Columbia, Maryland. Having developed an avid interest in the arts at a young age, Edward pursued the visual and musical arts during his formative years before discovering his passion for acting.

Since then, he has gone on to perform in numerous productions onstage and in front of the camera. He has earned a M.F.A. in Acting from the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University and a B.A. in Theatre Studies with a minor in Film & Media Studies from St. Mary's College of Maryland. While at ASDS, home of the acclaimed Inside the Actors Studio, Edward has had the privilege of attending master classes hosted by James Lipton, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jessica Chastain, HBO's cast of Girls, Viola Davis, Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Wiig, Ted Danson, Bradley Cooper, Alec Baldwin, Jane Lynch, David Oyelowo, Henry Winkler, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, James Burrows, Kelsey Grammer, Ellen Burstyn, and Al Pacino. He continues to hone his craft at the school along with his fellow actors in the cohort, striving to bring absolute truth to every role that he undertakes.

Edward has appeared in several student films during his academic career as well as several short films and new media projects. He has also performed in many stage productions over the course of his career. Most recently he has appeared in the Actors Studio Drama School 2019 Industry Showcase at the renowned Actors Studio as "Robert" in Alfred Hayes', The Girl on the Via Flaminia. He was featured in the 2019 ASDS Repertory Season. He appeared as "Freddy" in, Edda, an original play by colleague Kendra Mittermeyer. He also played "Vince" in Theresa Rebeck's, Our House.
