My journey as a voice talent began years ago in the classroom as a full-time Middle and High school History teacher. Realizing that the great stories of the past could not be taught from a textbook, I began breathing life into my pedagogy through voice and character dramatizations. I immediately discovered a gift for this, and perhaps more importantly my students enjoyed it immensely, finding a greater measure of engagement and relevance. I soon found myself lending my vocal, singing and dramatic talents to Christmas concerts, Coffee Houses, and community Holiday celebrations!
Over the next several years, I had many people ask why I wasn't utilizing these gifts more formally. As a result, four years ago I began doing some course work and exploring the world of voice more in depth. I studied locally at Vancouver Acting School, (voice division), completed course work at On the Mic, a Vancouver based voice training school, and recently worked with award winning Voice artist, Debra Munro. I am excited about the world of voice acting, and look forward to many more voice adventures!

As a beginner, I don't yet have years of formal experience in the voice industry. However, as a professional teacher I spent years in the classroom as a full-time middle and high-school teacher, with years of breathing life into my pedagogy through voice and character dramatizations. I soon found myself lending my vocal, singing and dramatic talents to Christmas concerts, Coffee Houses, and National Holiday celebrations! More importantly I loved it and others appeared to enjoy it immensely. As the years rolled by I had many people asking why I don't utilize these gifts more formally. As a result, three years ago I began doing some course work and exploring the world of voice more in depth. I studied locally at Vancouver Acting School, in their voice division, completed course work at On the Mic, a Vancouver based voice training school, and recently worked with award winning Voice artist, Debra Munro. I am now eager to build my professional voice career!

Apart from providing great voice work in the form of commercial and Narration, I love to do characterizations and impersonations, finding the acting pulse and imagining the persona. On a slightly different note, but very much connected to voice work, I love to sing! Therefore, I am greatly hoping to connect with any clients that are looking for a lyrical read or singing voice actor, and have the chance to utilize my skills and joy in this discipline.
