Grace Lapsys

Overview

Grace Lapsys is a pastry chef and an actress represented by Mitchell & Associates. Born and raised in the Philippines, she has produced award winning short films in New Mexico, worked in the Art Department for major Hollywood productions, been a member of IATSE 480, and served as vice-president for New Mexico Women in Film. Beyond this, she started and runs the premier chocolate business in New Mexico (Joliesse Chocolates), winning the 2017 Chocolate Fantasy competition and recognized by the New Mexico State Legislature. Studying chocolate in both Canada and France, she is one of the very few master chocolatier actors.

All of this experience translates into the creation of characters in her acting. Grace’s memorable stage roles include playing “Cynthia” in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’s very first regional production staged at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, produced by The Dolls and “Forgiveness From Heaven” in Lisa Loomer’s The Waiting Room produced by Mother Road Theatre Company, aside from roles in Miss Saigon, The Jammer and others. This year, 2020, she played the role of Cheerleader via Zoom for Adobe Theater's Reunion, a play written and directed by Pete Parkin about American nurses' experiences during the Vietnam War.

I did several radio spots/promos for Joliesse Chocolates for Valentines Day that aired in ESPN starting in 2014 & 2016 and, again, in 2017 for American General Media.
