Performed as a Jimmy Stewart impersonator for a Jimmy Stewart stamp unveiling in 2007. Previous work includes radio newcasting/sportscasting (including play-by-play basketball and football), sports talk show hosting, Majored in broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri. I'm often asked if I ever worked in radio, to which I reply "Yes, I did--in a previous life." (I do not work in broadcasting anymore, preferring the relatively secure career I have with a federal agency in Michigan.) I would describe my voice as somewhere between a bass and baritone, and I've been told I sound authoritative.

Worked three years at a large radio station in Iowa during the early 1980s--responsibilities included newscasting, sportscasting, basketball play-by-play and sports talk show hosting. Also worked as public address announcer for my high school boys' basketball team as a senior in the 1975-1976 season. Also worked part-time at a small radio station in high school, and part-time at several radio stations while completing my degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri.
