I have a soft spoken voice. I worked for a business outsourcing / call center for 8 years, Australian, New Zealand,American and British accounts. I talked to these people with different accents and surprisingly, I received commendations and excellent feedback because of my voice which is very accomodating and friendly. I am more with pacing (really depends) and pronunciation of words. I make sure that the listeners will understand every single word that I say.
