Hi there! I am fluent in Spanish and English with no detectable accent in either. I grew up in 2 language worlds, in 2 cultures, and much care was taken to keep them separate, linguistically speaking. I am a lover of the sounds and treasures that words hold.
I work with my main tool, my professional voice, constantly as a conference and court interpreter. I am very conscious of "voice trends" that I avoid (glottal fry, ending phrases with upward inflection and use of linguistic fillers such as "like" and sentence-beginning "so".
I feel like my voice is an instrument that I get to play with, and I enjoy doing it!

English (North American), Spanish (Latin American)

Special Skills

Business, Documentaries, Educational, Internet

I have worked as a bilingual (English/Spanish) conference interpreter for over 5 years and constantly get positive feedback about my voice quality while interpreting simultaneously as people receive my interpreted message through headsets. I am diving into the world of Voice Work with great excitement.
I voice professional training materials for interpreters.
I have recorded professionally at a sound studio when dubbing corporate training videos for an international pharmaceutical company.

I have a BS in Occupational Therapy thereby handling medical/scientific materials with ease in both languages.
I have dabbled in multiple languages because they are all so interesting and beautiful: Portuguese, German and lately French.
I hold 2 of the most important certifications for interpreters: Federally Certified Court Interpreter or FCCI, and CHI or Certified Medical Interpreter.
As an interpreter trainer, I must provide feedback to aspiring spoken language interpreters and a critical point of this is vocal quality. As I assess it in others, it allows me to evaluate my own.

Service Description

I am usually available for short turnaround projects and can record for a project in both English and Spanish, with neutral accent in both. I also can provide translation into Spanish, and evaluation/editing of already translated text.

As a Spanish-language judicial interpreter trainer, I had training materials that needed to be professionally recorded by a person who is truly bilingual. I was looking for a female voice that could sound professional in both English and Spanish, but also at times handle diverse registers in both languages (from low to medium vernaculars): Rainy fit the bill perfectly, delivering the recordings ahead of time and with very professional quality. She was very easy to work with and I will seek her out again when the need arises.
