Joseph Mysak

While I don't speak any other languages than English, I often find myself having very little trouble if any at all understanding anyone who speaks with a very heavy accent and often times am quick to learn some of their common phrases in their language very quickly with, what they tell me, is flawless annunciation. I am a fast learner and have already worked jobs I am not happy with and would be willing to work as hard as anyone in order to break into the industry. I am a very hard worker and a very talented person. My mind is an infinite sponge and while everything may not always stick for as long as I would like it to, it should more than suffice to get any job you need done.

My name is Joe Mysak. I have been imitating movies, tv shows, and people I've met for almost all of my life. Although I am from New Jersey, I've been traveling to and from New York City since I was around six years old and have met countless people from countless places and used to try and impersonate their accents in my free time. In college I met a now good friend of mine Jude who is from Haiti and although many of my colleagues, and teachers, had difficulty understanding him, often times I would find myself acting as his translator. After college I travelled across country as a musician where I only met even more walks of life and learned more accents to impersonate. Ive convinced people from England I was from Ireland and convinced people from Ireland I was from Scotland and Scottish people I was from England just while having conversations with them and after about ten ninutes they would ask where I was from where I would change back to the way I talk and tell them I'm from New Jersey for a good laugh. I do a pretty good Chewbacca impersonation which is not an easy feat, and have been doing that for as long as I can remember. While traveling back from California, we took the southern route and often found ourselves at stops in some pretty out of the way places where we didn't know anyone. But my southern accent was able to get us through some pretty sticky situations convincing them I was one of their own. Now I am home taking care of my Grandmother and through the three years I've lived with her have made a pretty funny grandma voice that everyone seems to find funny whenever I tell them the comedies of living with a 92 year old woman. As for actual voice acting work, other than backup vocal in my band for 8 years, I really have no professional work to show for the years I've been doing different accents and therefore put myself in the beginners bracket. However working job to job paycheck to paycheck is starting to get really old and in all honesty my voice is probably my most prevalent talent and I'm sick and tired of not doing something with it. Any voice, any accent, any lines, any job, I will dedicate all of my efforts into whatever project you need to get done in order to make a name for myself and start a new life using the gifts I have been so blessed with. Thanks for checking out my profile and if you've read this long, I look forward to hearing from you.

I attended Monmouth University in West Longbranch New Jersey and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and was part of the EOF scholarship program. I played drums in a band and also did the backup vocals while I played. Not an easy feat.
