My English voice is highly focused on the South-Western part of the USA, but might also have some little Australian features as well. I mostly sound like an old redneck from Texas when I speak English, but the truth is than I'm only 18 and purely Finnish, which makes it even more amazing how I do my accent.
My secret to this voice is the absolute pitch in my ear, which I inherited from my father, who had a weaker pitch. The pitch in my ear helps above all in music; When I'm trying to find a right note - for example from a piano - I can do it by only listening to the note and not even looking where I actually press.
My pitch has also given me a good understanding in some English accents. I didn't exactly study to speak like a Texan. All I did for it was just watching Hollywood movies and American TV shows for a long time, and while watching, my ear captured most of how Americans speak without me knowing it. I noticed myself speaking with the accent when I played video games on my computer and used voice communication to communicate with my teammates. I have always been the chattiest of the team and before long people started to ask where I am from. My frequently asked questions include "Are you from Texas?", "Are you seriously from Europe?" (I played on European servers), and "Are you a voice actor?"
I have also wanted to learn other English accents as well, especially Australian and Scottish accents.
So, if you're looking for a young Finnish voice actor who doesn't sound young nor Finnish at all, but instead sounds like he's completely on the other side of the globe, feel free to contact and hire me!
