I have always been told I have a very nice speaking voice and was often asked why aren't you doing something with your voice professionally? I would often record as the in-house voice talent for a few of the companies I worked for. Well 3 years ago during a period when I had been laid off after 15 years from my job as an account manager for a telecommunications company I decided to see if I really did have what it takes to be a professional Voice Talent. I signed up with Edge Studios to have my voice "assessed" and sure enough they agreed I did have what it takes! I am the in-house voice talent for my current employer and I have also recorded several messages for Interactive Voice Response Systems ( IVRS) that play in major retails stores and financial institutions and state-wide government programs .
