Service Description

Narration, voiceover, character voices, voice acting.

My full length play "Women of Culture" had been workshopped at the Manitoba Association of Playwrights, where the parts were read by local professional theatre actors who regularly performed at the Manitoba Theatre Centre and Prairie Theatre Exchange.

In 1999 the UMFM radio drama show "Play It Again" produced my play. For this production Laurie Smith performed the role of Tina, the main character in the play.

Laurie gave a well textured, accurate performance portraying a teenage girl in a very professional manner. Her reading was the equal of any of the actors I had worked with at MAP.

In addition to being an excellent voice actress, Ms. Smith has a professional, responsible attitude toward her work, being punctual, dependable, patient and accepting of the director’s suggestions. She would be an asset working on any broadcasting project.
