I can duplicate with accuracy and great detail virtually any accent or dialect I hear. Often this
shocks people. For Example, an English Scholarly friend was visiting me two days ago. For kicks I put on my "stiff upper lip" English Accent and he looked at me incredulously, eyes wide, and told me that I had a Flawless Oxford accent. I thought he was kidding me. He went on to insist that it was so perfect that I would not be turned down to have tea with the Queen.
I'm from Massachusetts and I've never been to England so I figure I got it from some British movie that had an excellent casting director.
Another more humorous example was when the Movie "Enemy Mine" came out. I went to see it with some friends. Afterwards, we went to Hagan Daas to have Ice Cream. I started talking about the subject of Ice Cream with the accent of the alien lead character of that movie. The look on the faces of my friends was priceless.
I've always thought that everyone could do this.
However, that is not really the case. So I want to use my talent to the best of my ability and see where it goes. I just signed up so I don't have a demo done.
