Anne McLintic Smith

My natural voice is educated, warm English with a soft Scottish accent which most Scottish people would place in or around Edinburgh. I am in the alto vocal range.
I have always loved languages, and the musicality and different emotions that can be produced by the spoken word. Virtually all my life I have either worked with languages, as a translator, or enjoyed acting, singing and reading aloud, my first experience being reading aloud at school assemblies back in the early 70's and realizing that people seemed to particularly enjoy the way I read. I enjoy reading poetry aloud and serious texts but I also love to do accents for fun, including broad Glaswegian [reminiscent of Stanley Baxter], Edinburgh Morningside, German and French.
Attended a 5 day voiceover course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, in Glasgow in 2017.
