About Mina Samuels
This voice has gone around the block and has the edge to prove it, but still maintains her unflappable poise. Compassionate and professional when needed, without crossing the maudlin border; this voice can slip into something more comfortable, light some candles and uncork a bottle of wineRead More
In addition to the voice over training and private coaching I've gotten; I have also trained in acting, both contemporary and Shakespearean. I've written two one-woman shows, which I performed in New York, Toronto, and Austin.
I write fiction and non-fiction. My most recent book was Run Like a Girl: How Strong Women Make Happy Lives, about the transformative effect of sports on women's lives So I have an affinity for sports and health related topics, in addition to a love of literature, film & theater.
I also write and edit books for others on a host of topics ranging from personal memoir to spiritual to business strategy.
In a former life, I was a litigation lawyer.
All this adds up to a combination of creative capacity and service-oriented professionalism, which I will bring to every project I work on.
I may be new to the specifics of the voice over industry, but in addition to recording my collection of short stories (not even my mother recognized my voice and asked where I'd found the voice talent), I've used my voice publicly in a wide range of venues, from The Today Show (on which I appeared for my book, Run Like a Girl), to live theater, to literary readings, to the courtroom (in my past life as a litigation lawyer), to radio interviews.Read More
