Chicago, Illinois, US
I have a clear voice with excellent pronunciation and an appropriate amount of bass. I can add more bass to my voice when needed. I can also use various volumes on command. I have a mild Chicago/Midwestern accent which I can easily manipulate to include more or less of this. My voice would sound good on radio (at least, that is what I have been told by probably 100+ people). I think one thing that makes me unique is that I can observe people's behavior/manner - of - speaking very quickly and reproduce these in an often humorous way. Another reason why I may be a desirable candidate for certain jobs is that I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule as an educator. Our school day is only 6.5 hours long and I am off all summer. Since so many people have told me I might be good at this, I decided to try.

I do a lot of public speaking and reading in my job as a special education teacher. I have been in that position for seven years. In addition, I have given over 500 presentations in my previous profession which was in the nonprofit sector. This includes speaking to different audiences of young professionals, urban families, executives of companies, and more. I also represented this organization on television news one time. I have a clear voice with excellent pronunciation with just the right amount of bass. I am often told I have a "voice for radio", so I am doing this because of the encouragement I have received.
Not necessarily industry-related, but I feel like my degrees have led me to positions that are public-speaking heavy.
Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.), National Louis University
Bachelor of Arts, History, University of Illinois-Chicago
I record a lot on my iPhone's microphone
Computer & Software
E-mail, various audio files
Depends on length of project; probably 2 days to a week.
I am just as good a listener as I am a speaker. I can follow directions and I am open to constructive criticism. I am super easy to work with; I promise a pleasant working experience for anyone who hires me. I am not very well-versed in what clients would want more than that. At the end of the day, it's about getting the work done, doing it right, and pleasing the client.
Voice Over Clients
I have no clients. I am brand new to this. I could provide personal and professional references relevant to my current career if necessary. Someone has to be my first client, though. Hope it's you!
