Hello, my name is Mark Knowles. Thanks for your interest in my Voice Over work. I graduated college with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and a minor in Music. I've had a decades-long career in the software industry, with lots of stage performing and Voice Over work thrown in along the way.
My voice has a warm, welcoming vibe and a conversational style that is adaptable to many different types of voice over needs.
A colleague recently commented that my voice tone and stylings are vaguely reminiscent of the late great Casey Kasem. I am middle-aged, and can deliver a mature, believable tone; however, my sound also has a touch of youthfulness, allowing me to reach into a variety of age ranges.
My work is produced in my professional on-site recording studio, and I can typically return a finished voice file within 48 hours.
I have an extensive background in live musical theatre, having performed for decades in professional and community theatres in the Salt Lake valley and throughout the intermountain region. I have had the honor to be cast in iconic roles, including Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, John Adams in 1776, Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, The King of Siam in The King and I, Emile De Becque in South Pacific, Lawrence Jameson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and many others. These roles have given me an opportunity to develop character voices and accents, which are very useful in my voice over work.
Please listen to my demos and consider me for your next Voice Over project!
