MARSHA ROFEL: “A DIFFERENT VOICE”
Producer/Writer In the new millennium, Marsha an accomplished singer, producer
Ellbern Productions,Inc and director, took a new direction and began to explore her other
voice as a producer, writer, and historian of documentaries
which touched the lives of countless people and organizations
in the community with such video-productions as “The Best of
Beth El 150 years, Sisterhood, 100 Years, The Legacy Continues,
B’nai B’rith 160th Anniversary.,and Lutheran Social Services
75th Anniversary documentary.
Marsha has served as Executive Producer for the well known
weekly cable television program B’nai B’rith Presents, the voice
of Jewish Detroit for the past three years, which featured timely
speakers such as Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, Governor
Jennifer Granholm, former Governor James Blanchard, and
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressing issues of
concern for the Jewish Community. This enlightening and
entertaining program has been broadcast over 8 cable stations
throughout Michigan and Ohio, with plans in the works to
bring the production to regular broadcast television.
In 2002, PBS Affiliate Channel 56 aired B’nai B’rith Presents
“A Tour of the Holocaust Memorial Center”.
Marsha , as President and CEO of Ellbern Productions, has
Written scripts for several chiildren’s program for pre-schoolers,
including My Bed Bugs, She has collaborated in production on
groundbreaking multimedia projects such as the critically
acclaimed “Children of Abraham Project, a diversity
training tool for children.
Song Stylist Marsha is an accomplished vocalist whose vocal artistry
and near three octave range make her equally at home with
standards, jazz, R&B, opera and oratorio. From Porter to
Puccini, she has sung in concert halls, supper clubs, and
theatres throughout the US, and Canada, including Detroit,
Windsor, Chicago, St Louis, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, New York
Tampa, Toronto and Washington DC. She has also appeared
at nationally televised ( ESPN) Tiger Baseball games to sing the
National Anthem. While continuing to perform, she also uses
her voice as a freelance voice-over artist for commercial
and documentary work.
Pierce St. Productions In the mid nineties, Marsha , a true “Broadway baby” at
Cabaret Connection heart combined her musical talents, keen writing skills
and business savvy, to produce, direct, and perform in
numerous original musical revues including “By George, the
Music of George Gershwin”, “Jeepers Creepers Who the Hell
Is Harry Warren”, Simply Sondheim, The Words and Music of
Stephen Sondheim, and an original musical revue entitled
“Three Big Babes Sitting on Bar Stools Singing”.

MARSHA ROFEL While volunteering, and community service has always been
at the heart of all of her creative endeavors. In order for her
to find a spiritual connection through music ,Marsha began the
study of Cantorial liturgy of the Reform movement in Judaism.
She now regularly leads worship services as an accomplished
Cantorial Soloist in synagogues and senior citizen centers
