Studio

Turnaround Time

very much depends. but if it's a 3 minute radio jingle, within a day I can send a sample for feedback.

Microphone

wide diaphram AKG perception condensor (w/ pad and roll-off), Wide diaphram Audio-technica condensor (3 pattern w pad). these are my two best mics. I have a bunch of shure sm58's and 57's.

Computer & Software

laptop and desktop running at dual quadcore processor, 8 gigs of ram, lots of space. I run Pro-tools mostly.

Special Equipment

I own a very unusal analog ribbon synth. I play lots of instruments so I have guitars, keyboards, a bass, old drum machine's from the 80's, midi controllers, violin, ukelele, saxophone, 3/4 cello, and a bongo.

About

Overview

A good voice actor is something I've taken notice of even as a child. It would really bother me when the acting didnt sound legitimate. I later grew an obsession with the kings of voice overs for cartoons (Mel Blanc, a genius.. Billy West, Dan Castellaneta, Hank Azaria etc.. and even went as far as befriending a favourite on facebook, Dana Snyder.
I don't have a lot of range when it comes to characters or voices, however, the styles that I do have and the manner in which I perform are distinct and consistent. In every job Ive had when it comes to simply speaking with people I've always received compliments on my voice. Not as a singer, but I would guess for the tone and depth. I speak clearly as well and I pride myself on being a positive person, so this could be partial to the reason as well.

It's a trait I believe I own. WIth my background knowledge of audio engineering you'll receive excellent quality work. I have means to do so at any time, I don't need to book a studio. There are many areas in which I believe I can excell so I'm not limiting myself, however, my voice isn't deep enough for a movie opening, or high for a cartoon, but Im right in the middle. Im somewhere between Yogi Bear and a (sober) Hunter S Thompson. I'm aware of the work involved and would love to work with you!

Service Description

I'm easy to work with and can take direction. My knowledge with recording and editing will allow for a quality product with a quick turnover. I have my own gear to record, so if I have to go back to fix something or if theres a deadline to meet in an unexpected amount of time it will be easily manageable.

I'm a friendly person who takes this seriously but mostly I'm very positive and I absolutely love this work. I'd be more than pleased to discuss this with you further.

Experience

-Studied Audio Engineering- Oiart 2004
-professional post audio experience
-10+ years of recording/editing experience
-animation background
-Good sense of timing, acting without it being fake
- Voice somewhere in the baritone range, and very well received from jobs such as tech support and call center work

* I have never done voice over work other than a radio jingle. It's something I always considered myself to be goo at but never found an avenue or a way to network. I would love to find work in this area.
