I have over 30 years of announcing experience on the air and doing production in radio, I have done a lot of different approaches to making a script more than just words on paper. Making the words come to life was a real challenge in some cases.
I can handle about anything from warm and easy to really attention getting character voices.
I used a few character voices which I found fun and profitable while in radio. The crusty old cowboy was used to sell a barbeque place in New Mexico on an annual contract. Prior to that the owner had never had any success with radio. He also used my spots on some other stations, and later became one of my clients with my advertising agency there.
Midland High School, Midland Texas, Graduated 1962
Lubbock Christian College, Attended 1964, then left to join US Air Force.
Upon receiving my honorable discharge, I returned to my broadcasting career and began to move up the ranks into sales and management.
Computer & Software
Gateway PC with Windows 10 running Audacity audio mixer, and Acoustica Premium.
Normally 24 hours from when I receive a valid order and complete, approved script, and background music if required.
Most of the time, I do a simple voice only. That's a quick turn-around. If music or special background is required, that may take a bit longer. I can include music backgrounds if needed, unless it's a custom jingle.
I am NOT EQUIPPED to handle phone patch / ISDN / Source-Connect / SKYPE or other such devices and connections.
I had tried Radio in the past with very little success, then Dick Rowland came in with a character voice and samples, so I could hear what the commercial would sound like and if I liked it we could work out a deal with his station.Cactus Jacks BBQ, Hobbs, NM
Upon hearing the samples, I started a relationship with his company that lasted for years, running his commercials on all the stations in the area, cutting newspaper out almost completely. Then when Dick started an ad agency and I was his first client. The man is a wizard!
