Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England and trained at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Richard is a professional British actor with many years in the acting business, and has worked extensively in television, Film/TV and theatre. TV work includes Dr Who, Law & Order, Flashpoint, Nikita, Lost Girl, Mairgret and Rebecca.
His stock-in-trade is RP (standard BBC English) and that's where he does a lot of his work in theatre and TV, but also many other British regional accents, which were recently featured in Ubisoft’s Assassin's Creed Syndicate video game.
Richard has worked all over the world, including spending 20 years in London and 8 years in New York. His range of accents that he has been called upon to use include Cockney, Estuary, Norfolk, Scottish, Lancashire, Devonshire, Standard American, New York, Italian, Czech, Russian, Canadian, Australian, and Transatlantic.
Although he also does on-camera work, theatre, voice work and words are his first true love.
