Robert John Hughes has a deep background in radio and TV. At age five, a joke he wrote was used on a top rated CBS radio show. He was hooked. College radio at Fordham University's WFUV, New York led to a lengthy on-air and management career with Metromedia, CBS, and US Radio. Robert was the founding program director of WASH-FM's Adult Contemporary format that continues to thrive in Washington, DC. Today, Robert is co-owner of KPRI, San Diego, one of the USA's leading adult rock stations. He is a gifted copywriter and commercial producer, winning a national Mercury Award as well as several Addie Awards.
Robert has achieved peer review level accreditation with SaVoa (Society of Accredited Voiceover Artists).
Robert John Hughes is a graduate of Fordham University in New York. He majored in English Literature, and studied media with Marshall McLuhan, author of the The Medium is The Message.
He sharpens his performing skills by attending regular intensive seminars led by Marice Tobias, coach to the top voices in Hollywood. Robert also studies privately with Nancy Wolfson, the gifted talent agent, casting director and developer of the Braintracks Audio curriculum for professional voice actors.
