The core accent of my voice is English home counties, private school, with emphasised warm breathy vouls. My voice has warm, sensuous textures with a clear precise tone and pronunciation, atypical of English Period Dramas such as "Downton Abbey". My voice has been seen as sexy and attractive in the style of a dominant/educated/upper class female. I also adapt my presentation style for a lighter, informal, and fun personality.
As a radio presenter, I have utilised my voice in advertising and jingles. As my show is a Jazz music show, my voice compliments the seductive soothing late night style of the broadcasting. Having served in the military, I have experience of using my voice in giving commands and instructions, to individuals and groups. I have worked as a marketing and promotional advisor for a leading mental health charity, where I gave presentations to health professionals and mental health groups. I now work as a teaching assistant, where using my voice clearly, with excellent pronunciation is very important.
I now work from home in a purpose built sound controlled studio, and quality audio recording and editing equipment. To augment my skills and experience, I attend a community acting group.
Realistically I am in the early stages of my voice over career, however as a mature individual with a strong work ethic from my time in the military, I am prepared to put in the necessary time, effort and initiative to make positive progress and personal development.I am constantly working on improving my studio skills, and vocal styles, in order to meet the requirements of clients.
