I have a fairly versatile voice, but primarily I am very well spoken (some say "posh") with a rich timbre and a smoothe, expressive tone; Nigela Lawson-esque.
I am also able to adjust my voice to take on a very authoritative, informative or harsh tone. I am also skilled at speaking emotively and passionately. I am able to take on a warm, encouraging 'mumsy' tone, and am able to be upbeat, conversational, and child friendly.
Due to spending part of my life in Somerset I am able to speak in the local accent. I can also speak well with less diction, a typically southern white working class accent.
I am very flexible, willing to travel, and am able to digest and master scripts quickly and accurately.

I have talked at a variety of public speaking events and competition, been nominated as a representative to verbalise concerns and enquiries, taken the lead role in a number of theatre productions, been extensively trained in telesales marketing techniques, and been asked to work on a children's charity audio project. I also have university credits in communication studies, worked as a volunteer teacher where there was a language barrier and I had to communicate effectively to a class of eighty plus, and been specifically requested for poetry readings and script debut's.
I have performed in amateur dramatics, competed at a variety of public speaking competitions, worked as a narrator and story-teller, been paid for performance poetry, and been extensively trained in telemarketing and telephone sales techniques. I have had 5 years of performing arts education, and have a university module in communication.
Computer & Software
Fairly sophisticated software recording.
I am a versatile voice actor, with an enthusiastic and diligent attitude to the projects in which I am involved. I enjoy a range of different persona's and consider my voice a blank canvass which can be adjusted and moulded to suit the script. I am able to 'sightsay', and consistently speak brand new scripts with hesitation or stumbles. I am very flexible and willing to travel as required.

Testimonial for Maud Morrish
Maud Morrish (Mariama Colley) was hired as a volunteer during April and September 2009. Her contributions, whereby she was set the task of giving an activity overview, instructing through fairly complex steps, holding the attention of and motivating large groups of youths (some with little grasp of English), have proved invaluable. She was also paid for acting as a narrator for a promotional video, but she distributed the proceeds back to Red Cross group. She ran a public speaking competition and instructed the students in the art of public speaking.
Mariama proved to be a dedicated, talented and committed colleague. I would recommend her for any work environment and role.
