About Maud Morrish

Overview

I have a fairly versatile voice, but primarily I am very well spoken (some say "posh") with a rich timbre and a smoothe, expressive tone; Nigela Lawson-esque.
I am also able to adjust my voice to take on a very authoritative, informative or harsh tone. I am also skilled at speaking emotively and passionately. I am able to take on a warm, encouraging 'mumsy' tone, and am able to be upbeat, conversational, and child friendly.
Due to spending part of my life in Somerset I am able to speak in the local accent. I can also speak well with less diction, a typically southern white working class accent.
I am very flexible, willing to travel, and am able to digest and master scripts quickly and accurately.

Service Description

I am a versatile voice actor, with an enthusiastic and diligent attitude to the projects in which I am involved. I enjoy a range of different persona's and consider my voice a blank canvass which can be adjusted and moulded to suit the script. I am able to 'sightsay', and consistently speak brand new scripts with hesitation or stumbles. I am very flexible and willing to travel as required.

Testimonial for Maud Morrish

Maud Morrish (Mariama Colley) was hired as a volunteer during April and September 2009. Her contributions, whereby she was set the task of giving an activity overview, instructing through fairly complex steps, holding the attention of and motivating large groups of youths (some with little grasp of English), have proved invaluable. She was also paid for acting as a narrator for a promotional video, but she distributed the proceeds back to Red Cross group. She ran a public speaking competition and instructed the students in the art of public speaking.
Mariama proved to be a dedicated, talented and committed colleague. I would recommend her for any work environment and role.
Yours sincerely,
Edrisa Manneh
