Venus Gallo is a former Pastry Chef in downtown Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. She has worked with food in various hotels and restaurants around the country for over 20 years. She understands that cooking and Voice work have a lot of commonalities; there is a great deal of excitement in the kitchen as on stage or in a studio and there is always the pursuit of the "perfect" sound or flavor. She is also a professional singer and studied Voice and Music Business at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She started singing at the young age of 14 through a school program called Future Farmers of America. From there she has sung in a reggae band, a folk/ rock band and is currently singing in a salsa band. Her love of music is deep and it is her goal to make her living using her voice. As a child, she watched her father audition for several voiceovers and was curious about the work. Wanting to follow her heart, she feels that voiceover work has a lot in common with singing. Having recorded a couple of CD's with the bands that she played in, she understands the basics of recording and how to use her voice in different ways to achieve various sounds. She is currently in the process of recording a professional demo of three of her original songs as well as auditioning full-time for available Voiceover work.
