Overview

I have a baritone voice but can vary it greatly. I have volunteered with Reading for the Blind. For them, I read novels as well as technical books since I have an extensive background in health care and had a classical education including Latin and Greek. I can perform higher-pitched voices as well.

Experience

I have volunteered extensively for the non-profit Reading for the Blind & Dyslexic. In this work I primarily read long-form fiction books, medical texts and legal texts. I also was a DJ for a jazz show at my college radio station and sang both in choir work as well as as a soloist. I can do cartoon voices as well as British and Australian accents. I was a radio performer in college and an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University. I have an extensive background in public speaking and have been featured as a Keynote Speaker in many different venues. I was paid for a voice project I did for hospice programming.

Education

I studied for 2 years at the School of Public Communications at Boston University and deejayed a Jazz broadcast there. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston University and a Master's Degree in Family and Community Health from Emory University. I was an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University where I taught Advanced Physical Assessment and Clinical Pharmacology.

It was an absolute joy working with Stuart. He nailed the tone of voice I was looking for with this VO and turned the project around very quickly. I would love to work with him again.
