When you're looking for the perfect voice for your project, you have 654,921 voice actors to choose from. Well, maybe not quite THAT many, but when you're looking for a voice talent, the choice can be totally overwhelming. Almost every voice talent has all the wonderful things you need - a beautiful, rich voice, a well-equipped home studio, and professionalism and commitment that guarantee you'll get what you want. So how do you choose?

The only way to choose is to select the very best - and you can't afford to limit your selection to the standard offerings. I offer far more than a warm, appealing, smooth voice. I don't have a studio tucked away in a closet in my home, I have 24/7 access to my own professional recording facility, a production studio that has been working with international clients and top celebrities like Glenn Close, Stockard Channing, and Willem Dafoe for nearly three decades. My studio has access to all the latest technology and equipment you need, including phone patch, ISDN, and SourceConnect, as well as a sound effects bank and music library. And I'm not just a voiceover. As a skilled producer, director, voice casting director, and a top voice actor with stage, television, and film experience, I have an unparalleled combination of skills that allow me to work closely with you to ensure that your project is completed with excellence, ON TIME and ON BUDGET.

My first loves are long-form narration, particularly documentaries, audiobooks, and educational materials, but after years in the voice business I have a wealth of experience in commercials, promos, telephony/IVR, animation, and anything else that requires a voice. I am also a writer and an audio documentarian.

I'll be honest. If you have a one-time job, and you're looking for a quick, inexpensive, simple voiceover, you can choose me or most anyone for the gig. But if you're looking for a experienced professional who can work with you to ensure that your complicated project is handled with skill and care, I am your best choice. From design to delivery, your project has my full attention.

I have been a singer all my life, and toured England and Scotland in a girl's choir. I currently sing alto with New England's acclaimed Renaissance Voices, an a cappella, 19-member Renaissance choir.

My voice and speech studies began at a top US drama conservatory, Cornish College of the Arts, where I earned a BFA in Acting and began my studies of dialect, voice and breath, musical theater, and voiceover. I studied Documentary Radio at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine. My intensive study of voice acting has led me to the best teachers from the United States and England, including Nancy Wolfson of Braintracks Audio for commercial voiceover, Pat Fraley and Hillary Huber for audiobooks, and Paul Meier for Speaking Shakespeare.

My most challenging and rewarding training has been on the job. Literary Companion, an online educational company, was the first client for whom I served as narrator, director, voice casting director, and producer. I've continued to deepen my relationship with them over the last five years, and work with Ogden Morse, the CEO, every step of the way, from overseeing the budget and schedule, directing each project, and managing the engineers and mastering of the final product. For Plain Tales, a children's audiobook publisher, I narrate, direct, edit, produce, work with the musician who produce original composition for each collection, coordinate mastering of the final production, proof, and deliver the audiobook to duplication. After over 30 audiobook productions for which I have been creative talent, technical engineer, and producer, I have the EXPERIENCE, CONFIDENCE, and LEADERSHIP to take on any project - from a :15 promo to a 25-hour audiobook.

My decade of work as a paralegal is also a major part of my education. I concentrated in medical malpractice, wrongful death, and injury litigation, so I have a natural ease with complicated medical terminology. In fact, my own life experience weathering 17 foot surgeries contributed greatly to my exposure to complex medical terms. I also spent five years in non-profit leadership and management.

Service Description

Where I am most exceptional is in long-form narration and projects that require skilled voice acting, writing, and documentary work. I work full-time as a voiceover, so I am on call for any voiceover project, from delivering unedited raw tracks to overseeing full production that includes original music, sound effects, and pro mastering. I am happy out in the field, gathering sound, conducting interviews, and crafting audio stories. I bring value to my clients by bringing my unique vision and artistry to their projects. I am delighted to tackle complicated projects, though in my experience and portfolio, the most satisfying production is simple and elegant.
