Warm and sincere; Lively and energetic; Rich-toned; Trustworthy; Gentle; Strong; Intelligent; Captivating While most little girls watched animated features envisioning themselves as the cartoon princess, Dawn dreamt of being the heroine behind the scenes. From a very young age, her goal was to have the opportunity to imbue life and personality to a Disney character through her voice. Though she hasn’t yet made it to the Disney sound studio, her rich-toned and captivating voice is making her dreams come true. Over the years, Dawn has cultivated a storyteller’s gift for bringing tales to life through the dynamic use of tempo and intonation. Incorporating the best of classical influences, she transports the listener with the pacing and energy of an old-time radio broadcast. Using carefully chosen vocal inflection, based on a personal, researched understanding of the material, Dawn is adept at conveying a wealth of meaning through the spoken word. Whether reading a story or educational materials, Dawn has a knack for making the text interesting and easy to comprehend, holding her audience captivated through the final word. When not reading words aloud, Dawn works to improve them textually. With almost twenty years of proofreading and copyediting experience, she is able to rework your materials to best present your intended meaning and represent your professional image.

I have been the designated voice for multiple companies I worked for on-site, recording instructional narration as well as phone system greetings and voicemail. Mine was a key vocal component of a full audio Bible recording, currently in final production for Calvary Chapel Church. I also spent several years performing with a professional puppet theater and am highly-experienced in reading books and educational material aloud. Most recently, I have become a performing member of Spellbinders, an organization dedicated to restoring the art of oral storytelling by bringing trained storytellers to schools and other groups.

“Just what a mom’s voice should be, enveloping the listener in warmth and loving concern like a warm blanket, but capable of conveying a veiled yet understood threat when called for, all through a subtle change of tone as meaningful as the raising of an eyebrow.”Anonymous

“They should just let you read all the passages - or at least do mine for me.”Fellow student in a class with daily sight-readings
