Day 3

During the holidays, certain sounds and voices have been known to give audiences the ‘warm and fuzzies.’ But what makes these sounds so special? Our creative team has curated a list of some of the iconic seasonal voices to show how voices can be used this time of year to put anybody in the holiday spirit.

During the holidays, it’s easy to catch a cold that could hurt your vocal chords, so it’s important to protect your vocal health. Susan Berkley, a voice actor and coach, shares techniques, warm ups and health tips that will keep you productive and successful year round.

Day 5

Lisa Luck has worked for big-name clients like Marvel, Dunkin Donuts, and RedBull, to name a few. After she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Lisa has been lucky enough to find the flexibility and passion for work in a successful voice over career. Can you recognize her voice from some of your favourite ads?

Day 6

David Studio Colombia has been collaborating with the team at Voices.com for over 197 projects, including ones for Coca-Cola, Fanta, and Powerade for their ‘Power of Blue Blood’ campaign during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Now as an extended member of their team, see some of the work we’ve done together. We’re always thrilled to work with David Studio Colombia!  

Day 7

Nostalgia can play a big part on our feelings, especially when it comes to the holidays. When it comes to advertising, a nostalgic campaign that creates an immediate emotional tie for the user is sometimes more appealing than to our present day. Our creative team has some ideas for marketers looking to use this in their campaigns during the holidays, and throughout the year.

Day 8

Still looking for that perfect gift for the voice actor in your life? Or maybe this is the year that you’re going to give yourself the gift of an upgraded studio? This post features the most sought-after recording studio upgrades in this year’s Tech Wish List. It’s not too late to add them to your Christmas list.

Day 9

Dean Wendt has been a successful voice actor for over 30 years and has worked with clients like ABC, Taco Bell, and so many more! Being a seasoned vet in the industry, Dean discovered how easy it is to receive audition opportunities on Voices.com and signed up. You might recognize his voice from an earlier job as well – Barney. As in, the voice of Barney the Purple Dinosaur. Can you hear it?

Day 10

In 2014, Crave Media was looking for that perfect voice for their Destination Wild campaign for Nat Geo. The voice in question would have to embody the ‘international flare’ that the campaign needed to convey. This was when they decided they needed an extra teammate that could help them find that sound – Voices.com. Check out the finished product and see if you can figure out who this voice is!

Day 11

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through Voices.com,

our team was busy thanking our talent. The list was quite long.

The clients posted their voice over jobs with care,

in hopes that voice talent would soon be there.

With microphones nestled in their stands,

Visions of new voice over projects sang in their heads.

Oh, where would we be without all of you?

It can be challenging breaking into the voice over industry, especially as a cartoon voice actor. We sat down with Shelly Shenoy, a cartoon voice artist with 15 years of experience, as she offers advice on breaking into the world of cartoon voice acting.
