Taking Steps Toward Achieving Your Goals

Recently, I happened to read some wonderful thoughts shared by voice over industry announcer and icon, Joe Cipriano, as they pertain to achieving your goals.
Encouraging and straightforward, Joe Cipriano says, “Work on your goal at least one hour a day. Whenever I identify a new goal, I utilize this same strategy. It’s very difficult to keep to that relentless schedule of focusing on your dream or goal and doing something to move it forward each and every day. But I have found that if you have that commitment and attitude, you will succeed.”

How Can You Apply Joe’s Advice?

๏ Identify a goal
๏ Commit to working toward your goal
๏ Work toward your goal for at least one hour a day
๏ Have a good attitude
๏ Be prepared for success!
Here’s a neat image I found that illustrates how you can begin your journey and rise above challenges to achieve your goals:

Tracking Your Success and Being Accountable

To add to the great advice Joe has already shared, I recommend that you keep a daily journal so that you can chronicle and track your progress. This could be a private journal, or if you’d like help from others to keep you accountable, you could write about your progress on a blog or post updates to family and friends via social networks.

Any Thoughts?

  1. I agree with you. Each time I’ve set goals and completed one action per day per goal I achieved the goals. For me the hardest part is making the commitment.

  2. Nice post! Very inspirational. Inch by inch we reach our goals. I’ve just started tracking my VO moves in more detail via apps on my iPod to keep me moving ahead. I find that it keeps me very aware of when I’m working, and when I’m slacking off. And, I will be heeding Joe’s good advice. Thanks! 🙂
