The nominations for the 2013 Emmy Awards were announced live yesterday at 5:40 AM PT on Emmys.com. The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will be live from coast-to-coast on Sunday, September 22nd at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT from the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles.

In 2009 the Emmys introduced the “category” of Outstanding Voice-Over Performance which was formerly “juried,” meaning that there were no nominations and there could be multiple or no winners for any given year. However, the rules were changed in 2009 and the art of voice acting has been honoured live on-air ever since.

This year the Nominations for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance are:

  • An Apology To Elephants • HBO • Family: Lily Tomlin as Narrator
  • Family Guy • Brian’s Play • FOX • Fox Television Animation: Seth MacFarlane as Brian Griffin, Stewie Griffin and Peter Griffin
  • Family Guy • Lois Comes Out Of Her Shell • FOX • Fox Television Animation: Alex Borstein as Lois Griffin, Tricia Takanawa
  • The Looney Tunes Show • We’re In Big Truffle • Cartoon Network • Warner Bros. Animation: Bob Bergen as Porky Pig

Will you be tuning in?
