  1. Q. I’ve wanted to do voice overs for some time but they make it so hard to get started. I know that I have talent people have told me so. I want to start right away not even next week. They make it so hard to get started My Q. Is there some place to tryout other than a bunch of red tape to get started. CHUCK MCNULTY

  2. Hi Chuck,
Thank you for commenting. Happy New Year!
To answer your question, there are three basic things you need to do in order to really give voice acting a proper go. First, education or some form of training is key. Second, you’ll need a home recording studio or the capability to record your voice. A sample of your voice in MP3 format is integral to your success. Third, I advise that you establish your business and then seek out marketing opportunities. When a voice talent has studied, can record from home and has a demo to promote they are welcome to present their talent at I recommend the Guest membership (free) to get started.
That may seem like a lot but if you are truly going to put your best effort forth, there is some work involved. I’m not sure what the red tape you were referring to is but if you could elaborate on that a bit for me, I might be able to give you some insight or direction.
    Best wishes,

  3. Thank you so much for sharing these links! I’ve been trying to break into voice over for the past six years, and at times it seems like such a trying process. Hopefully I’ll get some help from these PDFs.
