Terms of Service Update.jpgToday, we are posting our 30 day notice for upcoming changes to our Terms of Service.
The new Terms of Service are available online now and can be read in our company section here.
We’re providing this 30 day notice as we have committed to doing so in previous blog posts.
In other words, whenever we make an update to our agreement with you, we want to provide you with enough time to read through it and ask questions of us if needed.
What are Terms of Service?
Terms of Service, sometimes referred to as a User Agreement or a Master Licence Agreement is a legally binding agreement between an organization and the user.
Every website or downloadable app has a set of rules which define the use of the website, prohibited use, ownership of content and termination and survival rights.
Learn more about this update in today’s VOX Daily.

Why Are We Updating The Terms of Service?

While these agreements are nearly always written by lawyers, there has been a trend for the terms to be written in a more friendly and easily understood manner. That’s something we’ve tried to do.
The language now used appropriately distinguishes between “clients” as the buyers of voice-over services and the “talent” as the providers of such services. I’m sure you’ll agree that’s a pretty common definition.
We also recognize that over the last 10 years, while much has stayed the same, other areas of the business has seen significant growth. Our Terms of Service needed to take into account these new offerings and our relationship with the clients who use Voices.com.

When Will The New Terms of Service Go Into Effect?

For current users of Voices.com, the new Terms of Service are effective August 14, 2014. For new registered users, starting today, the new Terms of Service are effective immediately.
