Recently Chuck and Stacey reviewed Voice Acting for Dummies, written by co-founders David and Stephanie Ciccarelli. So I checked in with them to see what they thought of the book and what inspires them to create their show. Join us in today’s VOX Daily.

When did you start VO Buzz Weekly?

VO Buzz Weekly premiered on January 8, 2012 and we are currently being watched in more than 85 countries around the world.

Why did you start a videocast as opposed to a podcast?

You can’t see people in a podcast and we have great hair. We wanted to put a “face to the voice” and allow people to get to know our amazing guests, face to face. Our cozy set makes viewers feel like they’re right there with us having a cool conversation with an industry superstar about their life, career struggles and triumphs, and personal stories that have made them who they are today.

Ultimately, what do you hope VO Buzz Weekly accomplishes?

We want to offer people from all over the world an invaluable resource for continuing education about voice-over, strategies for career success, and longevity and support and inspiration to go after your biggest and wildest dreams. We also want to give all the different voice talent and fans around the world a chance to meet the best in the business from animation, promos, trailers, commercial, talent agents, casting directors, voice directors and other industry professionals that can offer wisdom and guidance.
