How has VoiceMatch affected the way you approach your auditioning opportunities?
Hear about how some talent are using their personalized VoiceMatch scores to their advantage in today’s VOX Daily.

How’s VoiceMatch Helping You?

A little while ago we introduced a new feature for voice talent called VoiceMatch. VoiceMatch helps you to know how closely matched to a given opportunity you are before you audition. The higher your VoiceMatch score, the greater the likelihood you will more closely meet the client’s technical and artistic needs.
One voice talent wrote in to say that he uses VoiceMatch as a means to prioritize auditions. He auditions for jobs where he has a higher VoiceMatch first and then goes back to audition for jobs where his VoiceMatch is lower.
When I say higher scores, I’m considering the range between 90 and 100 to be high. Anywhere between 70 and 89 is mid range and anything less than 70 may be considered a lower match.

Something I’m curious to hear is whether or not you’ve been booking more jobs through the site and what your VoiceMatch scores for those jobs has been.
Do you book jobs that you are more closely matched to or are you finding that you’re booking jobs that you have a mid to lower VoiceMatch score for as well?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
Stephanie

  1. I find VoiceMatch intriguing and informative. So far the lowest match I’ve had is 95% so I go for ’em. Tend to score. Don

  2. VoiceMatch is very helpful!! Especially now with the holidays coming up and another family health issue, I have not had any time to do very much lately. It helps the sorting out process until I can again get back into it all. I think that it is a wonderful innovation. Thanks again!!

  3. Interestingly, I find that I book more jobs for which I am matched at 85% – in fact all most all of them. I wonder at the algorithm, since many of these are narration, and I have several narration demos and refer to such readings numerous times on my profile page. For me, I tend to look at 85% first, then go up or down!
