Laura Chase Photo Contest winnerWe received many amazing, hilarious and creative photos this week from people who are members of our Facebook page.

Our team is grateful for the 150+ pictures that were received and we are eager to acknowledge the winner and eleven other people whose photos stood out and were designated as finalists.

This contest gave us a means to get to know more people in our community and also gain a better appreciation for what your home studios are like and how plays a role in your business.

Picking a winner for the Photo Contest wasn’t easy, but we’re pleased to announce that we have chosen someone!
Find out who the winner is and also who the finalists are in today’s VOX Daily.

Photo Contest Winner, Laura Chase!

As you’ve seen from the picture, Laura Chase says humorously that she’s not clowning around about her feelings for Her creativity in dressing up as a clown was a great effort and the icing on the cake was that Laura also decided to use the photo she submitted as her profile picture on Facebook! How cool is that?

In addition to being creative, Laura’s photo also met the contest requirements, including displaying the website on a screen (in this case, on her laptop computer) in her recording environment and tagging the photo with her name.
Congratulations, Laura! Your 16GB iPad will be shipped to you soon.

There are a number of people we’d also like to acknowledge as finalists. The received submissions were so different and interesting that it wouldn’t be right to recognize one person alone. The finalists can also look forward to a special gift in the mail from in recognition of their effort and contribution to the contest.
What you see below are representative of the amazing talent and people who love

It’s All About The Sound

Lisa Biggs sent in a couple of shots and this one resonated the most with us. Isn’t it true that voice acting affords you selective fame and relative anonymity?

A Gary Owens Moment

Rick Worsnop‘s photo takes us back to the golden age of recording with the stereotypical announcer pose, cupping the ear while animatedly reading a script. Got to love the sepia!

Karen Commins sent in a photo featuring her studio decked out with at least 7 screens displaying! A beautiful studio aside (I’m a sucker for Parisian decor), Karen’s submission was too good not to share.

5 Screens, Baby!

When we asked for the website to be displayed on a screen, Mark Theobald went all out and had on not one but five! Nice gear, Mark!

Bird’s The Word

Toby the parrot joins his human friend, voice actress Julie Williams, in a special recording session for the Photo Contest. Toby says, “You’re not in business till you’re on!” (Actually, Toby repeats that because Julie says it!)
