If you haven’t written anything yet but would like to share your thoughts on a particular topic, here are some tips for writing articles that stand out:
Title: The title should be brief but very catchy.
Precede: A precede is a short description of the article, summing up what you are about to read. This is also known as a summary.
Lead: The opening paragraph has to get the attention of your reader.
Some ways of doing this include:
• Make a statement and then justify it
• Announce a fact
• Use a famous name or title
• Describe a setting
• Incorporate a quote
• Share an anecdote
• Create a mystery
• Quote some lines from a song or poem
• Apply shock and or suspense
• Ask a question and then answer it
Endings
• Endings Matter!
• A story needs to end with a sense of purpose. Endings are what readers will remember.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
Stephanie
