From August 27th- 30th the who’s who of voice-over will gather in Anaheim, California for the fifth edition of the Voice Over International Creative Experience, VOICE 2014.
Produced by James Alburger and Penny Abshire of VoiceActing.com, VOICE is designed for voice talent at all levels of experience, everyone will find new things to learn and new networking opportunities. The inaugural VOICE convention took place in Las Vegas in 2007. In 2008, and then every two years since, VOICE has been held in Southern California.
New York’s Edge Studio is the Premiere Sponsor for VOICE 2014. Edge is an educational and full service voice-over facility that has garnered an exceptional reputation in voice-over training as well as for their full-service voice-over and audio production services.
After months of planning and organizing, the schedule has been announced. VOICE 2014 will feature international industry experts from the U.S., Canada, Germany, Argentina, and more. To share their ideas and techniques there will be panels with some of the top coaches, voice actors and entrepreneurs in the business.

Over three days, VOICE attendees will become fully immersed in the craft and business of voice-over. The conference is built on three tiers; Education, Technology and Community. Education will be covered by more than two dozen programs on just about every aspect of voice-over. Technology will be represented with the comprehensive VOICE Exhibit Hall featuring microphones, equipment manufacturers, and more. Community, the real focus of the convention, will be covered through two major networking events and other special programs like the VOICE Celebrity Banquet.
VOICE also recognizes and honors industry professionals who have made major contributions to the world of voice-over.
Those honoured at VOICE conferences in the past have included the late Don LaFontaine, Dick Orkin and Christine Coyle (The Famous Radio Ranch), June Foray (voice of Rocket J. Squirrel), Rob Paulsen (voice of Pinky), Maurice LaMarche (voice of Brain), Joe Ruby & Ken Spears (Ruby-Spears productions), Bill Rogers (voice of Disneyland), and Camille Dixon (voice of Disney’s California Adventure). This year, VOICE 2014 will honor Fred Melamed, a long-time on-camera and voice-over actor, and star of “In a World.”
Las Vegas headliner and top motivational speaker Marshall Sylver is slated to perform on the convention main stage and will also present a special session titled “Creating Your Million Dollar Voice.”
