Can you believe that we’ve been doing Who Got The Gig now for 15 weeks!

It’s been a great time, hasn’t it? This column has given us a virtual water cooler where you can shoot the breeze about your business triumphs, exciting news and a place of encouragement.

Who Got the Gig?

I’m very much looking forward to hearing about what you and your voice have been up to.

Did you do any voice over work this week? Tell us about it!

Best wishes,

  1. This week brought repeat clients for the following: The Hospice of St. John, four commercials for the “Do Your Thing” campaign by Ramada Hotels, as well as a promo for Executive Connections LLC and Health Benefits Direct along with all the onholds I do for my standing client.

  2. Hi Steph!
Wow! 15 weeks? That’s amazing how time just slips away!
Nice to see the voiceover world alive and active!
Just got approved for a business association gig.
The team begins the shoot next week with voiceover to follow.
I wrote the script and will voice the video – there is much potential – the association represents more than 50 other small businesses!

  3. This week, about 75% of my work requests were for accents, both narration jobs and broadcast. These included a job from a private lead via Voices.com, where the client needed a German accent. They are considering having me do the narration in German as well, budget permitting.
I do so love my job!

  4. I know I’ve said it before, but the marketing ideas from Voices.com that I’ve put into use in the past couple of weeks have landed me some wonderful jobs, and I can’t thank you enough! Just this past week I’ve voiced a political ad for a California Congressional candidate, a flash animation piece for a new wing of a church in Texas, a short program for a new conference center in Myrtle Beach, SC that will run on a 24-hour tourist station there, and a TV spot for a resort in EGYPT!!!! For the upcoming week, I’ve lined up two long-format pieces, one a corporate flash animation for an agency in Kentucky and a training tutorial for businesses on how to use new credit card software. Thanks again, Voices.com for your great marketing tips–just doing little things to help your voice stand out can make all the difference!

  5. Hey Stephanie!
I did a pair of political spots for TALK1300 AM in Albany, New York this past week. Not exactly a banner week, but I’m doing the best I can to keep busy. Good luck to everyone in the coming week!
