“Several members of the audience were in tears after seeing the video and there has been tremendous buzz,” ~ Greg Shaffer, The Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC)

The Challenge

  • The Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) needed a voiceover to help tell the hospital’s story as part of a 10-minute video featuring key leaders and members of GBMC’s 50th Anniversary Founders Cabinet.
  • Interim Director of Marketing for the center, Greg Shaffer, explains that this project was not allotted for in the FY14 budget, so any solution needed to be cost-effective.

The Solution

  • “GBMC decided to use Voices.com due to the talent level and affordable pricing,” says Greg. “We found the service using a Google search and were impressed with the easy set up.”
  • GBMC posted a job and received immediate responses that fit their needs and aligned with their budget.
  • Sheila Hart, who we selected for this project, sent a sample and was nice enough to do a brief call so we could emphasize certain portions of the script and get exactly what we wanted. She did a great job, and we were very happy with her!”

The Results

  • The reaction to the video has been overwhelmingly positive.
  • “Several members of the audience were in tears after seeing the video and there has been tremendous buzz,” Greg recalls, reflecting on the reveal.
  • “A number of staff and Founders Cabinet members specifically brought up the voice over talent and have suggested using Sheila again for future projects.”
  • To see the voice-over in action, view the GBMC 50th Anniversary video.
