About Us

Unua is an Agrego project co-founded by Jasmin Herro, Joshua Maddox and Ronald Paredes. Coining the phrase “Reality Blog”, Unua is an Indigenous business and news magazine that is showing in real life and in real time how businesses can more effectively use their time and money in marketing and progressing their small businesses.
We are setting out to be a community led blog that allows young indigenous authors, marketers, artists and business people a chance to showcase their talents in a very public way.
All funds brought in from advertising will be used to keep the site alive and eventually to provide part-time or even full-time salaries to aboriginal bloggers who have a passion for their culture, writing and business.
Currently Unua is being ran by the staff of Cinderhouse Creative ( A non-indigenous graphic design and marketing house ) under the guidance of Jasmin Herro who participates in the site as a gift to her community.
It is the collective goal of both Jasmin Herro and Cinderhouse that Unua be completely taken over by an aspiring author or authors. Eventually, given enough community support, Unua will be both a community project and also a small business for some hard working and talented blogger(s).
As an “Agrego” project, Unua will be completely financially transparent and anyone wishing to do so may evaluate the books at their own convenience. Currently the books are not shown as there is only money going out and the project is in its infancy. Unua will not accept money coming in until the books are brought live and made public knowledge.
At the moment we are looking for more community writers who wish to help us grow the amount of quality content on the site. As our content and reach grows so will Unua's ability to take on advertisers and fund the writing efforts of those who will ultimately benefit from the magazine.
Cinderhouse Creative will continue to provide design and marketing support to Unua until the stage that the project is ready to walk on its own two feet at which stage a controlling board will be formed to look after the affairs of the project.
If you would like to know more about the structure of Unua or just have general questions or comments, please write to hello@unua.com.au and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience.
