About Us

Kelowna & District Safety Council – KDSC – is a small (~$300,000 Canadian), privately-funded non-profit organization, which means that for us safety is our mission and passion. Since 1980, generations of people have gained essential skills for life-long safety and enjoyment. We advocate for safety in the community. We provide courses and activities for children – babysitting, first aid, home alone skills, online safety smarts, and bicycle safety. We provide driver training for new immigrants, for underserved young adults, and for seniors. We provide motorcycle training. Our programs will son be expanding to include mobility scooter training, women’s safety, and anti-scam courses for seniors.
