Iowa Wesleyan University has been providing higher education for nearly two centuries. Steeped in tradition, the university boasts ground breaking alumni such as Belle Babb Mansfield, the first female attorney in the US and Dr. Peggy Whitson, NASA's record breaking astronaut as well as James Van Allen, who discovered the radiation belts that made space travel possible for Whitson. The University has amazing mentorship from professors and staff. IW is a convener for the region while hosting over 30 countries on campus as students.
