Director Rod Blackhurst’s previous collaboration with screenwriter David Ebeltoft and producer Noah Lang, HERE ALONE, premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. HERE ALONE was released worldwide by Vertical Entertainment in 2017. Rod’s previous film, the Netflix Original Documentary, AMANDA KNOX, premiered at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival and was named a New York Times and LA Times Critic’s Choice.
Rod’s film THE WHITE ROOM was named to the 2018 Blood List. James Wan’s Atomic Monster recently acquired a feature treatment by Rod and Bryce McGuire called NIGHT SWIM, about the demon of toxic masculinity, based on their titular 2014 Vimeo Staff Pick.
