How did you first hear about Voices.com?

I was doing a job search and came across a posting from a company called Voices.com looking for an account manager. While doing some research about the company to see if it would be a potential fit for me, I learned about Voices.com’s history, their vision and people and knew that I needed to apply. With vocal training in my past and a childhood of singing and performing, I felt  that I would be a great fit for a company like Voices.com where I could mesh my personal interests and passions with my work experience.

When you first joined what was orientation and training like?

Rewind to September 2013 and Voices.com looks like a different world. The entire Voices.com team was the same size as some of our departments are today. The initial training and orientation was provided by the VP of Sales and the HR Manager. As always, everyone was incredibly welcoming, courteous and happy to help whenever any of us newbies had any questions.

Tell me about your team, and the greater team?  What qualities do they have?

I think that some of the most notable qualities that the sales team and greater Voices.com team have as a whole would be our resilience, our optimism and our dedication. There have been many changes over the years and we have come through them all as a team, in my opinion even stronger, smarter, more unified and with more clarity and direction. Remaining focused and working together, and supporting each other through our ups and downs has always been something that we can count on from the team.

What do you find most rewarding about your role now?

As an Account Manager with Voices.com for 3 years I had the pleasure of working directly with our clients and the amazing talent on our site and seeing the projects go from a concept to a finished product. Receiving feedback from clients where they identified the Voices.com team as being instrumental in their project success was always something that was incredibly rewarding.  As a manager, it is really rewarding to see members of my team grow into their roles and become successful and confident; to help them figure out their personal brands and selling style is very rewarding.

How do our customers feel about us?  What are you seeing or hearing?

Speaking to our Voices.com Full Service clients, I can tell you that some of the best words used to describe our team are: professional, fast, amazing.  

Clients are constantly thanking the team for their assistance and for helping them find the perfect voice for their projects. We have many backups and contingencies in place to ensure that our clients never feel a change in the level of service they receive which I believe the entire team at Voices.com works towards on a daily basis. We really do live the hashtag #oneteamonedream

Why should someone apply?

I would say that someone should apply at Voices.com if they want to be part of something that hasn’t been done before, to break new ground in a very established industry and to usher in a new age in the voiceover and tech world. What advice would you give to a new team member?

Being a part of the sales team within the larger Voices.com team and speaking to someone joining our department, I would say ask as many questions as you can and ask them often. You’ll never stop learning in our environment and we have the support in place to get you the answers that you need. Through the HR departments development and implementation of our VoicesU courses, the introduction of your team captains and working with your direct manager, you have access to a huge wealth of knowledge and experience. We are here to support you and guide you every step of the way.
