London’s Voices Puts Aggressive Expansion Plan into Action

London, ON | March 10, 2014

Voices, the startup that grew up, is entering its 10th year of business, and celebrating by putting into action a major growth plan.

Riding on the momentum of success the company has experienced, Voices has committed to adding 30 positions over the next 6 months. This mission is already underway, with Voices set to be at 70 employees by the fall.

Operating out of their downtown location in London, Ontario on the city’s prestigious Richmond Row, Voices, founded in 2004 by the husband and wife team of David and Stephanie Ciccarelli, is nearing the completion of extensive renovations to its 6000 square foot, open concept office to make room for new staff. However, the online marketplace for voice over has decided to take that initiative one step further, and has set the wheels in motion on a plan to expand the company onto a second floor of the Old Oak building they inhabit. Members of the team will be migrating to the new floor April 1st.

“Working on two floors will allow functional teams to work more closely together,” David explains. “The additional office space will house the company’s Marketing staff and Sales team, while the original floor will house Customer Service, Human Resources, Finance and IT, and will become a training ground for all new hires as they are immersed in our unique corporate culture.”

To support their endeavour to expand the London-based business, which serves over 250,000 customers all over the world, Voices has invested in local and regional employment initiatives. This investment began with the tech company’s roll out of the inaugural “Speed Interviews” event, a recruiting initiative featured in The Globe and Mail’s Leadership Lab, and has continued on with attendance at Brescia University College’s HerWEI event, the London Economic Development Corporation’s Student 2 Business Conference, the Waterloo Tech Jobs + fair, and participation in Western’s Nspire Startup Career Fair on March 13th and the university’s Career Crawl on March 18th.

“The LEDC is thrilled to support Voices in their continued growth in London,” said Kapil Lakhotia, London Economic Development Corporation. “David and Stephanie have built a strong business based on innovation, technology and talent. Congratulations to the Voices team and thank you for your commitment to growing in London.”

Voices is actively recruiting for Business Development Specialist, Account Manager, Project Administrator, and Web Developer positions, to name just a handful.
