Voices.com, the largest marketplace in the world for voice-over artists and brands to connect, has recently been announced as the finalist for this year’s Canadian HR Awards in the ZSA Most Effective Recruitment Strategy category.
This award recognizes companies, their staffing strategies, and the excellent outcomes of those initiatives. The initiatives nominated for the award must have been implemented or improved within the last 18 months, companies must indicate the tools used, the drivers behind the strategy, give evidence for alignment with organizational needs, and demonstrate measurable success.
The company is shortlisted for the recognition for its innovative recruiting practice of running Speed Interview events. Candidates for a specific block of available positions are invited to Voices.com’s offices for a round of “speed interviews,” where they sit with a different manager for 5 minutes each, rotating to a new interviewer and set of questions at the chime of a bell. Attendees are also given office tours, are able to meet with current employees to ask questions, and participate in company culture, such as foosball games in an effort to allow them to interview Voices.com as much as the managers are interviewing them. The events have resulted in an impressive increase across all employee stats, including retention, fit, and satisfaction.
“We are honored to be recognized for our unique recruitment strategy,” says Kaitlyn Annaert, HR Manager for Voices.com. “Its innovative approach allows for an informal ice breaker between us and the candidates. We’ve noticed people really come out of their shell and gain confidence in their future careers with us, which results in a successful, long-term employment relationship together.”
Winners for the Canadian HR Awards will be announced at a gala held in Toronto, Ontario on September 17th, 2015.
