Voices Member, Tina Zaremba, Voice of The United Way’s Roc the Day Initiative

London, ON | November 30, 2015

The United Way of Greater Rochester New York’s ROC the Day fundraiser will feature Voices member, Tina Zaremba as the voice of the 2015 initiative. The mammoth 1-day fundraising effort takes place on Dec. 1, 2015.

Tina, who has voiced spots for brands like CVS, Huggies, and Pantene, was discovered on Voice.com by the United Way of Greater Rochester’s marketing agency, Dixon Schwabl. Tina’s voice is featured in the ads throughout the one-day fundraiser.

ROC the Day was created as a solution to the overwhelming number of charitable asks residents are faced with throughout the year. It is a one-day, online event that packs all efforts to raise money for area causes into one massive day of giving.

Donors, known as “ROCstars,” are able to give to one or multiple organizations to support their personal philanthropic passions, whether that passion is for animals, the arts, education, health, religion, the environment, human services, or the general community benefit. It’s an easy, one-stop way for participants to fill their “cart” with causes that matter most to them.

“We learned about Voices while attending NAB in Las Vegas this past April,” explains Studio Manager, Connor Dixon-Schwabl. “When this project came around, we knew that we had a very specific direction and we were looking for someone with a compassionate, caring voice. The platform made it easy to discover Tina and we knew right away that she was the right sound, and personality, for this charitable initiative.”

Tina’s delivery and treatment of the project has been described as “excited” and “happy.” Dixon-Schwabl explains: “Tina’s passion for the project really came through the read, and we value what she brought to the table. Happy talent, happy client, and a happy agency!”

“It was easy to be excited about this project. United Way is a fantastic non-profit, and things related to education, health, and community are important to me. This is why this was such a positive, easy thing to do,” says Tina. “There was an element of collaboration and fun as we worked together on this, and I couldn’t be more pleased to be a part of this year’s ROC the Day.”

The project was completed from Tina’s home studio in New York, New York during a phone patch with the Dixon Schwabl team.

Interested donors are encouraged to visit ROCtheDay.org, a secure online giving platform, to make a gift on December 1, 2015. All ROC the Day gifts will help people and organizations in the Rochester area.
