Preparing for a planet with eight billion people is going to require conserving. Our limited resource is. For starters, food needs to be produced more efficiently. Farming accounts for 70% of clean water use today. Then waste needs to be reduced both on the road and in the kitchen. 1/3 of all food produced is never consumed. And last but not least, consumers should have more food and beverage choices. Ah, planet of eight billion needs big ideas. Bold changes as a company with 300,000 employees operations in nearly every country, creating products enjoyed by consumers a 1,000,000,000 times a day, we could make a difference at Pepsico. Our recipe for the next 1,000,000,000 is doing right for people and the planet. Innovating more choices while using fewer natural resource is we're growing using less water across our manufacturing operations. We have improved water efficiency by 21% since 2006 then we're working with partners like the Earth Institute and the World Economic Forum to establish best practices for sustainable agriculture. We're reducing waste and using less energy throughout our operations. Since 2006 we've reduced our energy use by 8.2%. We've reduced packaging weight by more than £300 million since 2007. In the kitchen, we now use what we used to throw away two power machines and feed livestock, reducing our waste to landfill. And we're providing consumers with more choices. Increasing the number of options that meet our internal nutrition guidelines to 1300 food and beverage products in 2011 at Pepsico Way continue to create delicious foods and beverages that meet all tastes and lifestyles around the world.
