Description
This is an audio-book demo in which I read Canto I of "The Inferno" from Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" written in the 14th century. The story opens as Dante finds himself in a dark and mysterious forest. As Dante tries to escape a lion, a panther, and a wolf block his way. He then meets the ancient Roman poet, Virgil, who tells him that the only way to escape the forest is to make a journey through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. Dante then departs on this journey with Virgil as his guide.
