The 1st 1 safety starts with you is specifically for health care workers, highlighting the prevention of falls and injuries and practicing safe lifts and transfers. The 2nd 1 Fire Prevention and the 3rd 1 Falls Prevention is for both health care workers and the people that they care for. This project was funded in part by the government of Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care 2012 2013. Healthy Work Environments Partnership and Innovation Fund. The safety of the person you care for starts with you. Safety at work is more than doing what is in the care plan. There are general strategies and specific checkpoints to consider this DVD one has two parts, part one being proactive and prepared to prevent falls and injuries.
