When it comes to marketing a business, it takes some knowledge of basic psychology and human behaviour. To succeed, people buy things to either meet their needs or satisfy their wants and desires. As a marketer, you're looking not what your product has to offer, but what is motivating your target audience by your service or product. For example, people aren't buying perfume because of the aroma they're buying into a notion of romance of warm summer evenings or exotic places. New diet that's advertised doesn't sell because of the latest features. But because the customer is buying a healthier, thinner look, the end result of a product or service is what matters to buyers. How it makes them feel, look or achieve their ambitions. Ask yourself the same question. They will be asking, What will this product or service do for me?
